Road trip / trackday

Nothing like getting out on the road in Europe, nothing like a trackday in Europe – wo why not combine them both?

Many organizers have packages that take your bike in a truck across Europe. That’s all well and good. Take a cheap flight out, taxi to the hotel, do the trackdays, taxi to the airport and fly back.  Especially good if you can’t dedicate more that a couple of days.

What if you can though? Why not make use of some of the best roads in the world and enjoy a trip with a group of like minded riders?
We’re putting together some packages that will be including some of the best tracks that we have ridden, with some fantastic, selected A and B roads through the picturesque French, Italian and Spanish countryside.

Here’s an idea:

Why don’t we have at least one of the trucks that’s going to the destination tell us it’s stop-overs? Why don’t we do a deal where we can all dispense with bags and panniers and have those shipped without our bikes? Why don’t we choose the best roads in-between stop overs and do them? Imagine the freedom knowing your gear will be waiting for you at the end of the days riding without it needing to upset your balance? Imagine too a support vehicle following close to our route with everything from a spanner to a tyre machine on board?

Let’s all meet up in Plymouth or Portsmouth and take the ferry to St Malo, because a) we’re worth it and b) it’s much quicker.

The roads we will be riding will take us away from the cities and motorways through quiet countryside – no radar cameras and traffic, just  twisty, sunny, hilly and good quality roads. We will also stop for the odd refreshment and chat on the way. Now and then we’ll wait or catch up the support vehicle so no worries about anything.

Let’s take 3 days to get there…and then enjoy two days on the circuit of Almeria. Becoming a very popular circuit  with regulars these days, it’s challenging and technical, you’ll need those 2 days to get it right on this one.

Then let’s take a rest day and chill out around the pool or on the beach. Watch out for those Spanish ladies!

A quick blast then to Cartagena, a well known test track for WSB and GP’s, this is no short circuit, around 3.5km long with all the challenges you’d expect from a world class track..and it’s yours for the next two days.

After that a last ride on sunny roads, takes us back towards Santander where we catch the ferry home to the UK.

All in all an amazing 9 day riding and trackday trip that because we’ve scheduled to include weekends means you only need the 5 day work/wife pass to enjoy.

The Trackdays:

We’re working with organizers that run either full open-pitlane or a maximum two groups – small numbers, so plenty of space on track – ride at your own pace with no constant interruptions. No-one else offers the same track time on such world-class circuits, joined up with amazing roads and a fantastic social atmosphere.
