What are they about?

The best way to think about these is to imagine your favourite road closed to traffic every sunny Sunday, made one-way and trees, brick walls etc. removed.

It’s funny that the same argument, for and against trackdays, is used by both sides. The road riders say “it’s too dangerous – I don’t want to smash my bike up” and the trackday fraternity say “road riding is too dangerous – I don’t want to smash myself up”. Throw in the sheer volume of traffic on our roads and the increasing number of speed cameras, plus the close attention of the police to speed, exhausts, number plates etc. – it’s no wonder that trackdays have taken off so dramatically. If you own a sportsbike – where can you use it – 2nd gear breaks the national speed limit!
